What is the Wall of Nostalgia?

❤️‍🩹 The Wall of Nostalgia is a public participation platform for kind messages.

đź’Ś People from anywhere can post short messages of encouragement, love, or support.

✍🏼 These messages (called “Beacons”) become part of a global feed designed to spread warmth instead of comparison.

🎉 Unlike traditional social platforms, the Wall is intentionally designed for kindness, encouragement & compassion

Why the Wall Exists

We live in a world of constant digital connection, yet many people still feel alone.

Modern platforms are optimized for comparison, performance, attention and engagement metrics

The Wall of Nostalgia proposes something different.

Instead of competing for attention, it invites people to leave small messages of kindness that become part of a collective experience.

A Beacon takes seconds to write.
But its effect can last much longer.

A Different Kind of Social Experience

Wall of Nostalgia is the public facing app in the Nostalgie World ecosystem.

Users build an avatar, and post kind messages of affection and self-love called Beacons. They can earn badges, and more.

For partners and venues, this creates a richer participation layer than a simple digital wall.

Instead of showing static content, the system gives people a visible identity, a reason to contribute, and ways to engage across both digital and physical environments.

Participatory Digital Art

The Wall of Nostalgia is also a participatory artwork.

Every message becomes part of a collective structure created by its participants.

The artwork evolves as people contribute.

Visitors do not simply observe the work; they become part of it.

Through mirrors, digital participation becomes a physical encounter.

For Venues, Exhibitions & Installations

Wall of Nostalgia can also exist as a physical installation.

Organizations can deploy Nostalgie Mirrors in spaces such as exhibitions, cultural events, museums, public venues, festivals, educational institutions etc.

The mirrors connect to the global Wall and display community messages in real time.

Partners can manage installations through the Operations Dashboard, including:

🪞 Mirror pairing and configuration
đź«‚ Content moderation
🎠 Visual theme settings
đź«  Participation analytics

This allows installations to become a living part of the global Wall.
