The big picture
What is Nostalgie World?
Nostalgie World is a full world—a brand ecosystem built around emotional wellbeing through story, nostalgia, and gentle daily rituals.
It includes digital experiences, and expands into products, books, and publications over time.
What’s the main product?
The Nostalgie World Journaling App is the key product; the daily ritual at the center of everything. It’s a guided, story-led check-in that helps you return to yourself without pressure.
What is the Wall of Nostalgia?
The Wall of Nostalgia is another key part of the ecosystem: a place where memories can live beyond a private journal.
It exists as a digital experience (and is also as an art installation; a public space for shared memories and emotional connection).
Do I need the journaling app to enjoy Nostalgie World?
No. Each experience can stand on its own. But the journaling app is designed to be the home base; the daily “return” that helps everything else feel meaningful.
The Journaling App (the daily ritual)
What do I do each day?
You play through a short guided daily check-in; more like a tiny daily game than a blank page.
You’ll answer prompts, make a few simple choices, and move through a gentle flow that helps you notice what’s real and keep something small.
Is this just journaling?
It’s journaling, but guided and story-supported. Instead of staring at an empty page, the app leads you through a structured daily experience with prompts, choices, and a soft closing.
Do I have to write a lot?
No. The guided flow is the core experience. Writing more is always optional, never required.
How long does it take?
Most days: 2–5 minutes.
What if I miss a day?
Nothing bad happens. There’s no shame loop here. Missing a day isn’t failure, returning is always welcome.
The Wall of Nostalgia
What do people do on the Wall of Nostalgia?
The Wall is where memories become shared beacons; a way to browse and contribute moments that carry emotion, meaning, and nostalgia.
Is the Wall public?
There are public browsing experiences, but posting and identity features require sign-in.
Is the Wall a separate app?
It can be experienced as its own product, but it’s also part of the Nostalgie World ecosystem; another doorway into the same theme: returning to yourself (and sometimes, to each other) through memory.
Why an “art installation”?
Because Nostalgie World isn’t only digital utility, it’s worldbuilding. The Wall is designed like a living artwork: a space that holds collective tenderness, not a feed that demands performance.
Companions, story, and world
What are companions?
Companions are story characters who travel with you across the Nostalgie universe. With one profile and avatar, you’ll build your presence over time, earning badges, leveling up, journaling in the app, and leaving memories on the Wall. Companions don’t “fix” you or judge you; they make the journey feel held, playful, and human.
What is “lore”?
Lore is the story structure behind Nostalgie World; companions, rooms, rituals, and the emotional logic of the world. It’s meant to feel comforting, not complicated.
Is Nostalgie World a game?
It uses game-like design; guided flows, choices, story, and progression that feels playful.
But it’s not about winning. It’s about returning.
Privacy, safety, and trust
Is my journal private?
Your reflections are yours. Nostalgie World is built to treat inner life with care; not as content to exploit.
Do you sell my data?
Nostalgie World isn’t built to harvest your interior life. For the legal details, see the Privacy Policy.
Can I delete my data?
Yes, there is a clear way to request deletion or remove your account data.
Is this therapy?
No. Nostalgie World is not therapy or medical care. It’s a wellbeing ritual and story world. If you need clinical support, a licensed professional is the right place to start.
Is it for crisis support?
No. If you’re in immediate danger or need urgent help, contact your local emergency number or a trusted professional right away.
